This BUG have been introduced already with version 7.1. Suddenly synchronization doesn´t seem to work at all now between PM Plus and Photolab version 7.1 and 7.2. I happen to have tested metadata sych with Capture One successfully so I have tested a few things recently even with Photolab and this is what I have found: The main reason why I still use Photolab is that it until now have integrated so well with Camera Bits PhotoMechanic Plus 6 - BUT NOT ANY MORE!
